These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Whubble mobile application ("Whubble", "the app",
"the service"). By creating an account or using Whubble, you agree to these Terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. The service
Whubble is a family organisation tool providing a shared calendar, chores, budget tracking, grocery
lists, meal planning, recipes, and location sharing between members of a household. Some features require
an active internet connection. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Accounts and family membership
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under
your account.
Every family has at least one admin — typically its creator — who can manage the
family name, member roles, and permissions. Admins can grant other members admin access.
Because Whubble is built for households, information you enter (calendar events, chores, budget
entries, location status, and so on) is visible to the other members of your family. Only invite or add
people you actually want to share this with.
If you're an admin adding a family member — including a child — you confirm you have the authority
and consent needed to do so, and that you'll manage that member's data responsibly. See our
Privacy Policy §7 on children's data.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use Whubble for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights
Attempt to access another family's data, guess join codes, or circumvent access controls
Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or its backend services
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the service outside the app itself
Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches this section — see §9.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Whubble — recipes, photos, budget entries, chores, and
so on ("your content"). By adding it, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display it as needed
to operate the service (for example, showing your recipe photo to the rest of your family, or syncing your
calendar events across devices). This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to §6 of our
Privacy Policy on shared-family data.
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload any photo or content you add, and that
it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Premium subscriptions
Whubble offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks Budget, Meal Planner, Cookbook,
external calendar sync, location history, and removes ads.
Premium unlocks these features for every member of your family, not just the
subscriber.
Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the
price shown at purchase, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancellation: manage or cancel your subscription any time through your Apple App
Store or Google Play account settings — not inside the Whubble app itself.
Billing: subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple or Google, per the
payment method on file with your Apple ID or Google account. Whubble does not process or store your
payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies — we can't
issue refunds directly.
We may change subscription pricing going forward; where required, we'll notify you before a price
change takes effect for your next renewal.
7. Location services — please read
Whubble's location features rely on your device's GPS/network location, which can be inaccurate,
delayed, or unavailable (e.g. indoors, poor signal, or if you've disabled permissions).
Whubble is not an emergency, safety, or child-tracking device. Do not rely on it for
emergency services, medical situations, or any circumstance where inaccurate or delayed location
information could cause harm.
Background location tracking uses additional battery; how much varies by device.
8. Third-party services
Whubble relies on third-party infrastructure (see our Privacy Policy §5 for the full list — Firebase,
Google/Apple sign-in, Google Calendar, OpenStreetMap, AdMob, RevenueCat, and the Apple/Google app stores).
We're not responsible for the availability or performance of these third-party services, though we choose
providers we consider reliable and reputable.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Whubble and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete Account). We may
suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the service (or parts of it)
with reasonable notice where practical.
10. Disclaimers
Whubble is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim
warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose,
and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that location,
calendar, or other data will always be accurate or up to date.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whubble and its operator will not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on
location, calendar, or reminder features. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited
under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for
fraud).
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard
to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section removes any statutory consumer protections you're
entitled to in your own country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where a
change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you in the app before it takes effect.
Continuing to use Whubble after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
